Winthrop Road is in the Washington Square neighborhood of Brookline which features attractive brownstone buildings along the leafy side streets. The neighborhood is home to a number of eateries, many of which feature outdoor sidewalk terraces and there's a variety of cozy coffee houses, juice bars and bagel shops. Also, this is a great walking neighborhood but if you want a little more structure to your fitness routine, there's several different kinds of athletic, yoga and wellness studios to choose from.
Light Rail and Subway - Washington Square is a stop on the MBTA's Green Line "C" branch between Coolidge Corner and Cleveland Circle.
Bus - The MBTA's 65 Bus passes through Washington Square on Washington Street.
Grades K-8: For elementary school children, Winthrop Road is in a buffer zone for either the Driscoll or the Runkle School.
